Mood swings
Coping with changes in your appearance and dealing with the pressures of school, family and friends can be overwhelming. During puberty feelings of irritability, anger and over reaction to situations are often caused by changes in your hormones. You can feel excitable and happy one minute and sad and low the next. Mood swings can have a big impact on your ability to get on with your daily life, friends and family. If this is the case try to talk to a friend, a parent or an adult you trust about your feelings. Other organisations like Young Minds or youth2youth offer information and emotional support via phone or online.
Remember if the person you first speak to does not help or does not believe you then speak to someone else.
